LMPO LE for Silver Snoopy...

Hey guys, I have been offered the following trade and thought I would get your take on it...

Trade:

My mint LMPO Limited Edition + $6k for a Silver Snoopy.

While I really like the Snoopy and would like to own one I'm not sure it is worth the premium the are currently going for. Judging by recent sales for the LMPO the seem to fetching low to mid 6's so that would put the total value of the Snoopy at low to mid 12's for this trade. That's still less then what I see in the sales threads for the Silver Snoopy but I feel like the prices right now are way off base due to supply/demand for the Snoopy. Don't get me wrong it is a wonderful piece but I feel like a year or 2 from now the prices will settle back down.

Would love to hear your thoughts!

I don't think prices will settle.

But I also don't think that's a good deal. Keep your PO.

Price won't settle. I think 12K for the Used snoopy is going to stay for a long time. The older Snoopy are going for 8K so what makes you think the Silver snoopy will go down? Also I would do that trade in a heartbeat as the snoopy is so amazing in flash.

Depends on what you mean by settle down. Will they stay at 14-15k? I have my doubts, but will they hit 8 anytime soon? Probably not.

Tough one, I'd be tempted only at a better price.

No way.....I'm waiting for my Snoopy but wouldn't pay the premium for one.....that and coupled with the fact that the LM PO is "the PO" IMO. I love mine and have sold/traded the PO8500 I had when I came to my senses. With this being the year of the PO's, I don't see any of the new ones toppling the classic limited either....

That's the way i am leaning... and i misread my email as it is the LMPO + $7k (not $6k)... so that puts the total value to low to mid 13k... which is slightly less than i see them going for.

I am stii in awe that the Snoopy is going for double msrp right out of the gate... dont remember the last watch i saw do that...

Rumor has it that omega isn't going to finish the run either. That's what a little birdie told me

I also heard that the actual product line of 1970 is not going to finish. Due to the caseback and other things. In other words the snoopy is a very very collectable puppy.

I am a little puzzled as to why the "can't" finish the run... i know the case backs are individually made but did the Omega folks who hand sprinkle the silver powder on the enamel go on strike or something???

Or a pre-owned day date... in any case Snoopy owner told me he has decided to hold onto it for the time being... makes my decision easier ;)
