I just got mine a week ago, my first PP! I told myself it would be my last big watch purchase, but I'm already drooling over a white dial 5711!

Hi guys, I also have a 5167 and very happy with it. However, I have two issues with the watch. First, I find the winding a bit weird. Secondly, I find the rotor quite noisy (although I don't think it is necessarily irritating). What do you think?

It's a blue-ish green lume, perhaps not as blue as the Rolex chromalight. The lume on the numerals is quite thin but they definitely glow perfectly well, and the 5167 has some of the best lume I've come across the in a piece. My pic was taken after a quick walk with the dog and not an extensive exposure to bright light to charge it. My Rolex's don't slide easily under cuff as the 5167, so they tend to get more charge from ambient light.

I love it when I haven't moved my wrist in a while or take the watch off and put it back on then move my arm in a motion that gets the rotor humming. My son gets a kick out of it too. If it were much louder I could see it being an issue but not for me with quite a bit of hearing loss in both ears. |

Just curious, how many of you like the looks of the 5167/5164 over the 5711? I've only seen a few mention it but I too have always preferred the 5167 even though the 5711 has really started to grow on me with time. And I'm also in the 5711 white dial camp.

Wow. What a great thread! I never really considered the Aquanaut. After looking at this thread I think I really like the watch. It is the perfect blend of sport and dress. I usually like a SS bracelet on a sports watch but I think this piece goes perfectly with the tropical composite strap. Thanks for the eye candy.
