First, congrats to your son for the education milestone! The journey is exciting and you will share these together.

What a special gift! There is something about the tradition of passing on a timepiece that always makes me smile....a generational tie that continues. Of course, the timepiece must be quality to last all these years. The TT Datejust is iconic and your son will hand it down himself someday.

I like reading threads like this because it makes me pause. Remembering those who came before and those that are with us now. Must agree....FAMILY is first and life IS beautiful!

Wonderful Gerardo.

Such an honour for him to be the custodian of what is a very special watch He's a very lucky boy!

Very nice to hear that you're being sensible too in only keeping it for special occasions in your presence (like there was ever any doubt )

You are certainly correct, family is everything!!!!

All the best buddy!

Thank you, Steve. It was very emotional, and today will be another 'goal achieved' in his life. I am very proud of him, and blessed to have had a mentor like Mr. B

Muchas gracias! Actually, HE was the one that asked me to store the watch in the safe and only pull it out on very special occasions.

He has good shoes to fill, as well as yours many years from now, so hope he wears it in good health.
