So I was at Damianis yesterday chit chatting with the owner by the Rolex display.

A customer was looking at the TT Sub and asked me for my opinion. So I told him that although I love the sub I find that the TT YM Blue looks much better (dont tell JJ I said that) so he looked at that and then asked which one in the display case I would choose as a good dress/sport watch. Of course I went into my "I dont care what others think, I wear what I loke blah blah blah" I told him that the TT White Dial Daytona or SS/Pl YM would be my next watch, if this were my only watch I would choose one of the YMs as it nice to have a date on a watch if its going to be your only one.

To make an even longer story short(er) he fell in love with the YM and is now deciding TT Blue or SS/Plat

I'm a big Yacht-Master fan too. I have the SS-Pt version, and it's probably the watch I wear the most. I also like it in gold, with the MOP dial and either rubies or sapphires. That's more garish a piece then I'd ever wear, but I still like the look of it. If I were a two-tone fan, I'd be very interested in the TT Yacht-Master with the blue dial. It has the same easy readability as the LV Sub, and I really like that blue dial. It's not nearly as "loud" as the one on the blue TT Sub, which (I think) just attracts the eye too easily. Of course, that's exactly what some folks want. It's nice to have all the choices.

Reading all these great stories on the YM is making my wait even harder. I wish my darn fiancee would just buy it already and give it to me
