Changing dials - good idea?

Own 179173 champaign, stick, no diamonds dial because could not find white. Considering changing dials to same dial only white.

I have no idea what this will cost or if available. Only want OEM part. Must a RSC change to keep warranty in force? Probability they will they catch me if I don't and need service?

Best case would be a swap since mine has never been worn (yet).

Advice appreciated.

I don't like champagne dials and so any change is for the better.

On the TT models I happen to like champagne so maybe wear it for a while?

But on your questions, yes that model comes in white dial and that means you can have the work done. If you don't use RSC or an AD, then your new warranty is toast since 3rd party work voids it. And yes, they would know since the dial color is coded based on the s/n at Rolex SA when the watch leaves the factory. Your warranty card should state Champagne dial now.

Now that you own it, maybe you could swap it for a pre-owned - but don't think the AD will do it unless you just bought it a few days ago.
