Sea Dweller

I purchased a Sea Dweller in 1998. It's a great watch but I had to have the rotor repaired/replaced twice. I believe this is very unusual and I need the advice of anyone who may be familiar with this. I did purchase the watch from an authorized Rolex dealer, but when I take it in for repair (to the authorized dealer) how do I know it's being returned to and repaired by Rolex? What questions should I be asking to verify this and what can I ask for as confirmation? I understand that the warranty is limited to one year, but this seems unusual.

Thank you in advance for any guidance.

Welcome aboard. I have a suggestion for you. Start your thread in the Rolex General Discussion area. I think many more people will view your thread over there.

Genuinely i would take it in to the AD, with all your supporting service documents etc and tell them that this is not meant to happen and that it is not acceptable. YOu have spent alot of money on this watch etc etc and you are NOT happy.. You want it fixed properly and this should rarely happen once never mind twice.
That is what i would do.

But remember to be polite but firm. start shouting and they often will be far less helpful.
welcome

Art and Christopher, thank you. I moved the question to the general discussion area. Christopher, I agree and what you said helps set expectations--this shouldn't occur twice on the same watch. I have a prehistoric Seiko (sp) and I've never had a problem with it.
