Help Please - is this real?

Greetings,

I am new here and would like to say "Hi" - BTW I do own a Rolex (it's on my wrist everyday : ) )

My post is due to a circumstance: I found a Rolex Daytona 1992 Chronograph. It looks and feels real, and the markings look real.

I came to this forum searching info -- I found some, but am still stumped.

Based on the photos I have posted here:

Do you thinks it's real?

I would very much appreciate your feebdback and opinions.

If you found this watch then maybe you should hand it in to the authorities.

I am suspicious of the authenticity of this watch especially the case back and endlinks.

Why don't you take it to a Rolex Service Centre?

Where did you find the watch? It doesn't matter if it is real or not, it may have a lot of sentimental value attached to it. I once found a watch, called the police, they tracked down the owner, who then came to me and gave me a reward. I was very happy.

This is my advice, it doesn't matter just hand it in to the proper authorities.

Something just doesn't look quite right about the dial. The small inner dial near the "9" position.
Bracelet also looks off- and the case back as well.
Better get it checked.

...Datuna of the sea, appears to be of the FAKEROOOO type. Additionally, to what Lol says, the dial appears to be fake.

Even if it is fake, it will give you much gratification by turning it in. Besides, I beleive that most authorities return the items to YOU after a certain period if not claimed/identified.

Stan.

This watch is 100% fake. These fake Daytonas with the same provenance on the case back "Rolex Winner Daytona 24 Hour" have been around for several years now. Also, on some of these Daytona "Rolex Winner" fakes, the small round register on the right side will be numbered 1 thru 31 and the small sweep hand acts as the pointer for a date calendar within the register - which we all know Rolex never produced.

It says winner "AD Daytona" instead of "AT Daytona" which is a sure fired way to tell it is a fake. They couldn't even spell AT and still try to pass this off as a real Rolex.

That is trash can material.
