Rolex 116520 with 116509 Blue Heaven Dial
I know the purist would be against this idea and would never recommend such a thing but I want to change the look on my Daytona. I got too many black dials so wanted to change the look a little.
I am thinking about upgrading the black dial on my 116520 with 116509 Blue Heaven dial. http://timeandtidewatches.com/[email protected] I'd also need the WG bezel to complete the look. The only thing that concerns me is the color tone on the WG bezel which is slightly warmer than SS. What do you guys think?

I would source the dial, but leave the bezel.

I'm not sure if you can even put a gold bezel on a SS case
I'd leave it original, but its your watch so ... |

I'd only do the dial (have a Panda on my 116520). IMHO changing the bezel too is trying to make the watch something that it's not.
I had a WG Panda but the metal was too soft however I liked the look and simply sourced a dial.

A dial swap, not such a big deal...But if you do the bezel too, its building a Frankenwatch IMO.

I like to keep them original but if it's what you want, go for it.
I also would recommend the dial only and leave the SS bezel. |

Morning guys,
Just wanted to share the update on this beauty. I finally got it back and I am so glad I did it. I like the black dial and all but this blue dial is really a beauty in person. Opted not to do the WG bezel.

Awesome! I just gave you thumbs up in that other thread too. This is a great way to enjoy a different looking (original) dial for a while.

Wow, that looks amazing, and well done for leaving the bezel! Wouldn't be surprised if a few others had this in mind now, even with the ceramic D500.
