Buy 14060 now or save for 5711?

Hi guys,

I currently have 36mm explorer1 (ref. 114270) as my one and only (besides G-shock 5610bc for rougher activities).

I have saved enough money to buy 14060. I was going to use 114270 as my work watch (with suits) and 14060 as my weekend watch.

But now I'm wondering if I should skip 14060 and go straight to 5711 after saving more money (will take me about 1~2 years).

Please note that I can't wear 14060 or 5711 for my work (too noticeable). So for me, they are both my weekend watches.

In brief,

1) Should I buy 14060 now or save for 5711?
2) Better pair: 114270&14060 VS 114270&5711?

Also, please consider I have very thin wrists @ ~6.25.

Please provide your thoughts. Thank you!

Just buy the 14060 now then sell it to help pay for the 5711 in two years, if you still want it. You might even make money on the deal if you buy right.

Another vote for the 14060. As Adan has said, buy right and you're unlikely to lose money

Well I own a 14060 but have no plans to own a 5711 so my vote is obvious.

Sounds to me like you really want the 5711. I'd get on the list now as it'll take you a couple of years to get one anyway.

In the interim, enjoy what you have or if you buy right, get the Sub

This seems like the way to go

I think this is the right move unless you have some unusual pull at your AD. Waiting list is a few years or more (depending on your AD status), and you will prob be able to flip the sub and break even or maybe just lose a tiny bit (relative to the cost of the 5711).
