Rolex daytona 116500 real or scam

Hi all - saw this ad from mywatchmart.com and really interested.
http://www.mywatchmart.com/listing/2...d-inner-bezel/

Anyone have experience with buying from this website? Too good to be true? They have pictures, but I can't tell as I'm no expert. Thanks!

I'd run away from that one. New in box and slightly worn 116500s are still selling for above retail. The fact that they're offering one for over $2000 under retail when they could easily sell it for thousands more should be a big red flag.

With it including all the papers and the PROOF of purchase.......if you were doing a cash deal in person, this would be a huge deal and could be possible. If payment is only by wire, etc, they're scamming.

EDIT: did a quick search for you and the description is copied from this Daytona currently listed for $15kGBP http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gents-Rolex-.../282583834666?

So my 2nd opinion seems to be true. They're simply going to ask for payment via wire, etc and then ship you nothing. Steer clear.

In my life, the only 'too good to be true offers' are always cash deals locally with buyers in a bind. This DOES happen with luxury items, a fair amount might I add. I've gotten some amazing deals with this, but you have to know the product is genuine, etc. For example, guy buys a $15k watch he actually can't afford, has bills due, and will take a hit to immediately grab the cash. Again though, this 100% of the time will only happen locally. Why would any online buyer sell below market value...... the audience is massive and it will eventually sell at that price.

The hottest watch at the moment for under MSRP? Why?

I think we know the answer.

I think you did the correct thing. Caveat emptor, if it's too good to be true, it probably isn't. Or summary.

And this same seller has a mint 2008 regular stainless Daytona for $5800 as well as 10 other watches priced well below retail.

Maybe they fell off a truck?

If they fell off a truck, it'd be a different story.
