Jim,

Seems everytime I give someone the benefit of the doubt they confirm my original evaluation.

There was a Hong Kong Cantonese song back in the 80s that was very popular amongst newly broken up couples. Every time I listen to this song, it brings up memories.

The monologue lyrics (translated) is somewhat like this:

Today, you and I are worlds apart,
You have your life, I am busy with things.
But, if one day we do meet by chance,
we'll say hello, greet each other,
and then we don't know what more to say...
You might as well found that I have changed, to the point I don't recognise you,
but I only know, at this moment, I am thinking of you...

Sometimes, what is truth and eternity? Maybe I should just keep this longing and hope.
Let me believe, there is a happiness, always available for me, but I can never possess.

When love is burning in your palms, it will burn out, but if you only put it at the bottom of your heart, let it glow just a little, it will burn much longer?
Try to think, long for it just mean pitiness. All the tears and cries are but just a waste.

Great post, your honesty should be commended. I sympathise with you buddy albeit my "personal hell" was only a few years, I don't know how you kept in it for so long, then again as with all matters of the human heart; love and passion seem to defy logic.

Paulie.

Claire thinks you would never have any problems with the ladies seeing as you are so pretty an' all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tell her thanks for the compliment Jim but when I was younger I didn't have much confidence in myself or my looks. I never did and still don't think I'm anything special in the looks dept. Anyone who really knows me knows this is true also.

Just average looking, not better than anyone else. When I was doing my share of dating I always contributed my success to my personality. I always was able to make girls laugh and have fun with them. That and getting them tanked up on the booze

Don't remind me. Can you say "attic conversion?" Because they're all going to live up there - with a dumbwaiter for hoisting up food and supplies. ()

Well, that's just okay to think that, Paulie. Because humility has its own charm, too!
