216570 is my choice every day of the week. All those 40mm or nothing people are either jealous, or have a Napoleon Complex.

I own both. I think if I had to choose though I would go 40mm. The 5 digit cases are just a better fit to the wrist.

I love my 39mm 1655 for its elegance and comfort but prefer my 42 mm expII. The bigger dial makes it much easier too read and I love the orange hand over de 40mm red hand.
And I have the size too get the proportions right.

My original plan was the 16570 but ended up going with the 216570 first. So then I went to buy the 16570 last month as I have a few other 40mm models that I love and love the way they fit, but couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger. After wearing it for the past year or two, I really love the 216570.

I had the 42mm Polar and flipped it for the 40mm. I don't think the 42mm is too big but I'm not a fan of the thicker hands and dial plots. The 40mm is just a bit more elegant for me. If I were to go 42mm again I would chose the black.
