Advice needed..

My 41st Birthday is approaching and since my wife “borrowed” my 36mm DJ a few months ago which I really liked for daily office wear (wear a suit at work), I was thinking of purchasing a DJ 41 to celebrate my 41 (either Blue or Rhodium) but a WG DD 36mm has caught my eye, obviously more money 11.5K vs 7.5K.
What do you guys think? New DJ 41 or DD 36mm (20 years old in great condition)

Here are my Rolex pieces so you have an idea of what I have (- the DJ 36) sorry for the bad picture.

if you went the dd route, Id get that in platinum 36mm with that ice light blue dial instead of the white gold preowned. since you have a DD in yellow gold, i think the jump to platinum would be worthwhile.

If just between wg dd 36mm and dj 41, id settle for the 41 since you got a smaller datejust already.

Seems like the loss of the 36mm DJ leaves a 36mm hole in your collection, and makes sense to fill it with the 36mm WG DD. I think that's the clear winner, but seems like I am in the minority. Can't really go wrong though, your collection is so well rounded.

Love your collection! I think you’d really enjoy the DJ41, especially with it being your 41st birthday. If nothing else, it’s an interesting story to tell about the correlation and you save money for your 42nd birthday gift, 42mm Sky Dweller!

Agreed. This would give some more variety of dial colours also

I really like the looks of the DJ41 but it is up against the DD in WG, I would have to defer to the DD. Even being twenty years old it is one of the flagship models in the Rolex line-up and in good condition a value for what you will get.

^^^ agree, get some color in that awesome collection. DJ 41 with blue would be a great choice.
