Anyone know? I haven't heard from him in over a year.

Also, I last had an email from Oblomov in April or May, but nothing since. Anyone heard from good ole Eric?

Andyh had been in heavy duty police training for about a year. I remember seeing him on TURF shortly before I got kicked off there. I think he was then walking a beat somewhere in London, but I can't swear to that.

I have a vague recollection that Oblomov also showed up on TURF in April or May, but again, I'm a bit fuzzy about that one also.

I saw evidence of Leigh maybe a month ago. He checks in with a very clever post on rare occasions.

Eric hasn't been around much lately, but I saw evidence of his presence within the last couple of days.

Thanks Ed. I knew Andyh was in police training, but I didn't realize it would pull him off forums completely. I guess he 'got a life'. LOL

I think Eric would very much like this community. I've emailed him to join us, but haven't heard from him in ages.

I spoke to Leigh last February and we had tried to meet in London when I met up with Shane. Unfortunately he had some in-laws turn up and could not make it. He is through the training now and on regular duty. I may try to give him a call later tonight but he could be working. As far as forums go I think he got a bit bored with the same old questions and topics.

Just spoke to Leigh on the phone and he is in good spirits. He's been working shifts and it's left him knackered so he has not been posting. He said he may check in when he has time and he might pop along for the meet next week if he is not too tired after night shift.

Hi everyone.
I've pondered long and hard about whether to sign in here too. The reason being that as a new member here, that tag qualifies me as a "Newbie"...with all the connotations and undertones that the very name implies.....Newbie!!..... Cue the men in grey suits stalking me paranoia that once gripped me and overtook my every waking moment ('newby close' is still there by the way, but I mangaed to dissuade the Mrs from buying a home there....more later)

Anyhow, I Hope all is well for everyone. I understand there has been some kind of parting of the waves. Unfortunately what with struggling to keep my home life together, lack of quality time due to shift work, a general spiral downwards in my relationship at home...etc etc, I dont get to log in to Turf, and havent been privy to what has or has not gone on. I'm saddened though nonetheless.

As an aside, I just received an uncanny call from a relationship specialist who I am consulting with in the vain hope of keeping my marriage alive....guess where there offices are?...You guessed it...Newby House not far from me in North London....Now that IS spooky

Welcome to TRF, Leigh. Don't worry about being a "newbie" here. For you that is a mere technicality. You get credit for your TURF time, so you can consider yourself one of the old timers in reality. Do come around as often as you can. I think you'll find this place a lively and fun joint to hang in.
