That was me on the PM. I called Crouch and they wouldn’t admit to having an SD43, even though I happened to be on their list already. They did say they had a DSSD D Blue....

Other than my wife’s Date Just, which was easy to get with a discount, this is my first attempt to buy a Rolex for myself. I want the Sea Dweller as I like bigger watches and I don’t like the proportions of the DSSD. I am also not a fan of the lug design on the GMT or Sub.

It’s intended to be an inheritance piece for my boy, but I didn’t realise I would have to sacrifice my first born at the alter of a Rolex AD to be able to be even considered as worthy of purchasing a watch.

The whole fiasco has actually turned me off completely and I have now decided to go for a AP ROO instead.

Got to say, I don’t understand this strategy by Rolex. I don’t buy watches as investments, there are better vehicles for that.... I just want a nice watch to wear and to pass down....

You better hurry, AP, like PP, seem to be taking Rolex's lead on tightening supply and playing Hunger Games with the buying experience.

[QUOTE=wb55;8001824]Called Cardiff were ok to put me on their list but Swansea who they said have less demand wouldn’t. Cardiff said they would normally reject me but as I’ve purchased a Rolex through Fraser Hart in London before they will allow me.

Also popped into DMR in Canary Wharf as I was passing. Only 3 people allowed on a list at any one time. Need to put 20% down and agree to warranty card being withheld for 12 months. Watch will be sized and de stickered at point of sale or they will refuse to serve you.

I wish all AD's maybe had this policy.
It would mean the ones who genuinely want the watch (believe it or not - wear it) would be able to get their piece sooner.

Stop all the flippers calling every AD to go on lists...
Get the watch then walk out in to the street,,,,,on the phone - watch straight on Ebay

Would an AD prefer this ?

Just spoke to Fraser Hart London in Stratford. They told me that they are due a delivery of SS but will give access to the lists to existing clients of Fraser Hart. Asked about removing links and stickers and they said that it might help me get BLNR sooner.

How are people getting on with getting an SD43? I know its a silly questions as here in the UK we're hardly getting any SS pieces, just wondering if more are starting to trickle through or f they are still extremely hard to get?
