ROC dials

Guys

Often when something new comes along it takes a little while to get familiar with the new model. The previous generation is known and the new one sometimes just doesn't look quite right. Over time the new model appears to look better and better. For me this is true with specifically with cars, but it is also true of watches.

The 26331 dials introduced last year have now been out for a year and we have had time to form opinions and thoughts. As of today what are your current favorites.

I think all three are a hit and an improvement on the old versions of which I was an owner. I am partial to Panda dials as I don't really like white dials on SS usually, but the blue is sexy too.

I am a huge fan of AP blue but the silver subdials ruin it for me. I think the Panda is the best looking on this one.

Yes. It’s mine. I’ve managed to avoid the door knobs. So far so good lol

Do the silver subdials on the blue match the steel tone of the case Well? If they do then I'm ok with it. If not it would be a bummer tho. Hard to tell from pics.

Thanks Gents

The Platinum and Ti is very cool and just a fabulous piece.

As far as the SS models go I know the blue is a very popular piece. It's a little less versatile as a blue watch it can't be worn with every outfit, well sure it can, people do it all the time but really a blue watch with a certain clothing colours or dressed up don't go together. Good thing we all don't have one dimensional collections.

As far as the panda or black dials go I am actually quite surprised the panda is so much the preferred dial. I find this interesting.

AP is as hot as ever and now with their reduction on the number of doors selling their watches I foresee the RO line really taking off. The recent increase on the two SS Nautilus will only attract more eyes. Some believe the 26331 will not retain value without an in-house movement but I believe that the eventual addition of an in-house movement will only increase the MSRP. The gap between the current and in-house can only be so much, aiding the value retention of this current model. As always, bought righting, you will do well. Right now buying one might be as good of a time as ever.

Buying yesterday has been the best policy for many models these last few months.
