Explorer II 16570 lume - is there both Tritium and Luminova models? How to tell which
I've been looking at Rolex 16570 Explorer II models. From what I have read, this model was introduced in 1988 and continued until the 216570 replaced it in 2011. I've also read that Rolex changed over from Tritium to Luminova for the lume in 1998, and then Super Luminova in the early 2000's. Does this mean that the 16570 reference is available in all three lumes depending on the year of the watch? Is there any guidance available in how to easily identify which is which (I'd imagine Tritium might be easy to identify as it probably no longer glows)?
