5970g vs 5970p

Anyone own both of these or seriously consider one? I’m curious if the p wears significantly heavier to the point it becomes uncomfortable. Any thoughts on the two would be highly appreciated, I’m just starting to get up to speed on them.

For Patek, always P. It’s maybe 10-20% heavier which isn’t much.

P more desirable but a lot harder to read. Would still go for the P over the G however

Thanks for the input guys. Any thoughts on value? Seems the p is maybe 30% more expensive? Prices are all over the place though, so it’s hard to tell

If i was guessing id say the P will hold more value. Just a guess though. Ive seen G at secondary dealers though and not a P. The G is really nice.

I own a P and R. The P's legilibility is just fine and it's weight is fine as well. Though heavier than the R.
Value of the P will be just fine holding steady if not increasing slightly.

I have seen several of the 5970Gs markers oxidized which some people like but they can also look a bit distracting. Figure a 50-60K premium for the P
