Hmm. It’s not just an issue of stick vs. Roman. The dials are very different...quadrant vs. diagonal. I’m not a fan of the diagonal, so I would choose the quadrant, so that means roman by default.

I narrowly choose seersucker suit over garden lattice.

I’ve had both. I didn’t love the diagonal motif as much as I thought I would. The blue color seems more washed out to me. The ice blue on the quadrant motif is stunning and the romans really pop with it. In the end, I much prefer the quadrants with the romans.

I Votte stick, I normally like Roman Numerals, but they seem to take up too much of the dial for me in this instance.

I like the dial with the Roman numerals. Nothing wrong with the watch In pic.2, this us indeed a tough call.

The Roman dial has super-clean look which is so classy abd elegant.

Good luck. Whichever you decide pleaae keep us posted

OP, what did you decide in the end?

Strange how poll favors sticks but most responses seem to be going towards romans.

I think the stick dial is the more "classic" of the two, it is also the one Rolex promotes in their advertising and on instagram.

Sticks, but the roman is stunning. Either way, you can't go wrong.

I wanted to try on the stick dial but no ADs near me have it in stock. Leaning towards the Romans since it has a sporty edge to it. I’ll keep you guys informed. Thanks for the replies.

Decision made! Thanks to all (especially Ap1, Ken/HL65, and Steve/nyc2la). I really liked both dials but the stick dial is classic and the blue is a little more subtle.

I used to always quote the white gold Pepsi GMT as my grail....I think I need to revise it to the ice blue Day-Date with sticks. What a stunner.

Both are great!
Although I slightly lean towards Roman mainly because of ken’s pics

Congratulations! A beauty
