They have been nice to me ask for a lady named Toni. Maybe the sales staff is grumpy because they dont have anything to sell

I got a few rare birds from there, can’t complain. Granted, the 2 sales lady there are not the most friendly.

100% agree, that lady is a witch. Yanked SD4k from my hand and walked away to another customer who had walked in when she saw I had a sub and said you don't need this.

A younger gentleman there was extremely rude to me as well. He just stared, then when approached and I asked about a GMT he automatically assumed I was talking about a BLRO and told me immediately to go pay $17K at a grey dealer. I was looking for a different watch, but he actually was more helpful than the woman at the next closest AD in Newport Beach, she asked that I buy jewelry first to maybe get any GMT at all.

I'm usually in the same boat. Shorts, tee shirt and a hat. I was working so I was dressed for meetings.
While I can see that getting you a worse reception in lots of places, in SF that won't be held against you -- too many tech offices don't have a dress code, and there are plenty of millionaires walking around with your outfit.

I've never had an actual bad experience in that Tourneau/Rolex, but there are definitely some salespeople who are better than others. In general, I'd very much recommend the three-block walk to Shreve and Tourbillion (and a few boutiques as well). More watches, nicer stores.

I've been in that Rolex store a few times and I think I know the lady you speak of. The problem with some of these sales people is, rather than be polite and friendly and if a sale comes from it, fine - if they don't think you'll buy something, they treat you like sh*t. Very disappointing. I actually bought a Datejust there a few years ago for my wife, but will probably never go back because of sales people like her.

I think he was making sure if they were talking about the same woman. Not assuming the race “Asian” for being rude.
