Need ideas vintage styled chrono in the $1000 range

My sister is looking for a watch for my brother in law. She wants something yellow gold (likely gold plated at this price point) and sort of vintage looking. Could get an actual vintage piece but the less maintenance needed the better.

Anyone know of any vintage inspired chronographs that are gold or gold plated in the $1000 price range? I’d say 36-39mm would be the ideal size.

Thanks for any ideas

Here's what has been listed on watchrecon in the last 24 hours that meet your criteria:

I'm sure if you look within the last week there would be plenty more. The gold is the tricky part - plenty of vintage looking chronographs out there under that price, especially if you are happy to consider quartz, but most are steel.

Thanks for your help. Yeah I know that’s why I had to reach out. Steel is so en Vogue I haven’t been able to find anything yet. He wears a yellow gold wedding ring and I think he must like the look. Idk

I suppose it doesn’t have to be a chrono just something classic looking...vintage inspired with a gold plated case.

I'd look into vintage Omega with that budget. Solid movements, great brand and history and actually vintage instead of just the look.

I believe they used to make gold plated watches as well (with ss caseback)

When I hear gold plated and auto I think FC. JomaShop has the best selection to look at. I like this one for the money.
