Yachtmaster II weight?

I wanted to know how much heavier the 116689 WG/PT is over the 116688 in YG?

The weight matters most to me. Wish I could afford the DD2 in platinum!

PS: Does anyone like the WG/PT yachtmaster 2??

No idea, but generally if there is difference it should be a couple of grams.

you would pick a watch over another for a few grams? (and not for your preference in the overall look considering they are very different looking despite both being YMIIs). Unless you're indifferent and like both equally....

Personally i have a SS YMII , and eould love to one day own the yellow gold. Despite being a little flashy, it wears well during the summer and in hot environments no matter how you dress (i was able to borrow a friends for a bit).

Not a fan of the WG (mainly due to the platinum bezel)

I'm sorry, but I don't know the answer to your question.

TBH, the overall look and feel of the watch is what matters most for me.

I like it, but it's what you think that counts.

To me the choice would come down to YG vs WG, not the minimal weight difference

OK, are you free diving? Why does weight matter to you so much?

Some people experience wrist fatigue with heavier watches or simply do not like the feel. It’s an honest concern / question.

I am not clear if he is stating the “weight matters most” in a good way or bad. If he actually wants a significantly heavier watch, maybe he likes the feel. But yeah in that case I don’t see how a few grams really matters.

the yearning for a platinum model at the end of the post makes me think OP wants the heavier of the 2

Just curious. I'm saving for the 116688.
