If you can get an SS Daytona at retail seeing as this is your first Rolex purchase without having to even wait on a list, you should consider yourself very, very, very lucky.

I know this thread has already kinda moved on but my thoughts on ebay. I bought a SD on ebay. I checked into the guy who sold it, I called where he bought it. I did tons of homework. I got the watch, and I know in my gut it was a real watch. BUT, no one local could open it, since its a 4000 ft rated watch, and everyone wanted for me to send it out to get it checked out. Anyway, I always felt like "just incase what if the movement isnt real" I also felt like I was burned out of the entire going to the dealer and feeling like I was buying something nice. So I sent it back to the seller who was more then ok with me doing that.
Anyway....to me spending more even for a preowned was well worth it at a very classy dealer. I got more then just a watch I got a jewler. eBay has deals but I always had the icky feeling "hey where did you get your watch? ummmmmm (in a low voice....) eBay. I bought the preowned, then since I had the itch bought a new one a few weeks later. I woudl never of done that if I kept the ebay watch.

Thanks! I cant stop looking at my wrist (literally).
I purchased my watch from Royal De Versailles in Toronto Ontario. I dealt with Angie Morton. I told her that I would be posting her information on here. I highly reccomend dealing with her.

Well, Steve. All I can say is "Good Job!!!"

That is a "cracker" of a Daytona, as JJ would say. I know you will continue to love it - I certainly love mine. Again, wear it in the best of health always.

Thanks for your kind words.

Does anyone know approx how many SS daytona watches are released every year?

Also, I know that many of you mentioned that the black dial is hard to read. I noticed that Rolex has actually changed the hands for the "Z" model when compared to the "D" model. The hands on the "Z" model are silver for the chrono/second hands and are black with a silver outline for hour/minute hands. You can see this from the pics above. Pictures of the "D' version show that the hands appear to be completely black.

How about a picture of Angie Morton giving you a million dollar smile?
