Sub: Date Wheel Background Color

Why did Rolex choose an off white color for the date wheel?

If you're talking about the TT Sub, then it's a very pale cream in colour. The SS Sub-date has a white background to the date.

JJ,

TT Sub (blue dial) is pale cream, but why did they choose that color instead of a brighter white?

As opposed the ones popular in a small island country that we know of where rust causes the discoloration, right?

All the TT models have a very light cream-coloured date background. All the SS models have a white background. It's just a matching and aesthetics thing.

Cheers - JJ
