Again, thanks everyone for the good advice. the shop agreed without hesitation to take it back and has already refunded me and sent a return shipping label. they are telling me this must have happened by the company that does the polishing work for them and somehow it went unnoticed. Obviously strange that they would totally polish out he serial # and not touch the other side lug with the model number on it. Who knows?? Seems like it's ending well enough luckily.

Yeah right. More likely they will resell until a buyer that does not know or care about the missing serial number purchases the watch.

Drop down to the classified section here at TRF. Do some research in the 'Who's who' and 'Watchout' subforums. Read the sticky posts at the top of the 'For Sale' subforums. There are many reputable sellers; called 'Trusted Sellers' here. Unfortunatetly, there are also scam artists that post there also; be careful.
