Pop Quiz : Which one is polished?

For 5 digit references, I think the texture on lugs is one of the ways to distinguish polished watch. Can you guys tell which one is polished and which one is not? or both polished? As you guys know, 5 digit sport models have some rough texture on their lugs.

The first 2 photos are 14060 and the last 2 are 16710

16710 is not actually polished at all.
It might look polished under the strong lightning.
It is heavily abused, but not polished.

That is how the lug texture supposed to look like for 5 digit reference.
It just looks too rough under the lightning.

I will post some more photos soon

In all seriousness, both look polished. I'm looking at my 16570, which I believe has the same case as the 16710, and the lugs on mine appear to be slightly longer at the outside, due in part to the slight beveling at the tip. The ones here seem longer at the inside (by the bracelet) indicating modification via polishing.

Also the ever-so-slight beveling on the lugs has tapered down to virtually nothing by the time it reaches the apex of the lug.

Pop Quiz : Which one is polished?

This is unpolished. You can generally tell by the two corners. While the outside corner of the lug is prone to being dinged in, the overall appearance of the lug shouldn’t look like it tapers from corner to corner. An obvious indication of a polish is when the case side corner point sits lower than the outside point.

The GMT has not been polished. That's how the texture looks up close. Deeper ridges that seem to go in slightly different directions. The OP is 100% right. One of the best ways to see if a watch has been polished is the texture. Hard to replicate.

Isn’t it possible it was just the sides, to remove some dings?

Just curious, are you the original owner of the 16710 or were you told it was unpolished?

Would love to see a side view of both, the lug holes should tell the story.

The 16710 lugs appear to be unpolished, similar to my 16710.
