1675 - Thoughts?

Hi chaps,

Recently came across this 1675, which was represented as being a fully original mk1 long e dial in a mint case. Looked to me to be in good nick.

Thought I'd throw this out to our resident experts for views and thoughts that may I ought to look out for?

Beautiful looking watch. Makes me regret selling mine. Case looks nice with full lugs and edges visible on crown guards. Dial plots have a little shrinkage and slightly uneven aging, but this may be typical to Long E dials (I believe they will light up longer under UV charging). Bezel might be a replacement, but aged nicely. And yes, throw it up in vintage for the real experts as they will know the exact font for the silver datewheel, etc. Try to get better resolution dial pics. Also, check the serial for correct age for dial.

Looks good to me, but I'm no 1675 expert. Only negative I could see is the bezel ring is not very sharp.

Yes better pics without the LED spotlighting could be helpful. Also, ask the seller to set time to 18:15:15 and hack the movement. Some of the dial script is blocked in his current pics. Inner clasp pic showing clear clasp codes and stamped logo + underside of endlinks are pics worth seeing. First 4 characters of s/n can help isolate some originality points.

Lastly, and may not be something seller will do, movement pics and inner caseback pic.

I have a question - is this a seller with a stellar Vintage reputation? If you’re in serious negotiations he should be fine with the picture request.

There is nothing wrong with the bezel it appears to be a correct bezel.

The bezel insert is about 17 years later than the watch - which means it has been replaced.

The original date wheels were off-white not silver and as depicted in my attached photo.

I can't tell what the bracelet is so I can't determine if it is correct.

For $22,000 I'd expect a 100% correct and unpolished watch in outstanding condition with some hard to source original rare parts - like a fuchsia insert or 7206/58 Oyster bracelet.

Way overpolished thing lugs.... needs a proper insert for 1500-2500$..... dial and hands are nice......

Is this in Singapore dollars, which is about $16K U.S.?

Nice-looking watch, but good advice above. I actually think the case is decent. Sure, it's been polished, but we've all seen worse.

That’s 22k us. It’s european watches in NY if I’m not mistaken there all over eBay
