The standard version may not be current but they are readily available at amazing prices new or used. Now I'm seriously thinking again about the moonphase version in pink gold and maybe the standard version as well.

The tank is living off that 100 year old history and although has some artistic evolution, it has not matured from its basic movement.

Whereas the Patek has a dramatic case shape, mesmerizing dial, and an amazing movement finish.

Completely agree with this - the Patek is in a completely different league. The dedicated movement is sublime.
