Wearing PM Rolex gets less attention than a steel sports now in some circles.

So true. I wore my 5168g happily in Lithuania and Portugal recently for our family vacation and it went completely unnoticed. I loved that feeling. The days when going to the beach, I took my Rolex 126710BLRO and was stopped twice by two older gents who wanted t know how I got it. That was the first for me.

Well I keep talking about how huge dealer spreads are now and how much cream they are taking for themselves, so I'm hoping that puts people off being mugs and at least negotiating hard with greys now, never take their first or second offer.

A little slowing down after an apparent 50% run up in prices in the span of few months doesn't really seem to help. Dealer spreads are crazy now, not signalling huge confidence that these prices will hold, but dealers of course are keeping prices high hoping they'll find a buyer.

I'm not confident many pieces that are "sold" are actually sold. Maybe they're off the market for a little bit, then brought up again, at a higher price, so the last one looked like a bargain. Got to love the lack of transparency in the market and the ease of manipulation.

Great call, and it's true half the time

This is so true!! I wear pp5167A everywhere in Asia and Europe , so far no one ever makes comment on my watch , but when I wear white Daytona , quite frequently people make a comment about it . I never ever dare wear Daytona in London as I would likely to get targeted .

What about 5167R, what do you think? It is a bit of gold and I feel a bit more self conscious but also somewhat unapologetic :)
