Esquire Life watch protectors

Why?!?!?

Just wear your watch....

I just don't understand trying to keep it pristine. Sure be careful with it but it's like you're living half a life. Why bother wearing it then ??

haha... I was thinking of polishing the centre links of the TT and putting the protectors on to keep the shine, kinda like that, when the PCLS get scratched too much the shine goes dull

You won’t find a lot of love here for watch protectors. Or experience using them.

Seems quite overpriced considering what it is. But again, for 40 bucks might be worth a shot. I personally would not cover my watch with them. Because it’s plastic. And I just don’t want my watch covered in plastic. But I could see putting a small strip on the clasp. Again, couldn’t hurt. And yes, it does appear to be waterproof.

Just because you don’t understand it, doesn’t mean it’s wrong or something that others would find interesting

I like to keep my stuff in pristine condition as well. This reminds me of a ‘wrap’ for a car to protect the paint job. Not only does it help keep it looking new, but will help with resale. You can take it off after years of abuse and have a pristine paint job (polish job) underneath for the next owner.

Not sure how well it would work on a watch, but if you couldn’t tell by the naked eye at a glance, I would give it a shot. Not on my daily wearer but my more infrequent pieces for sure.

If I paid $38 for some stickers, i'd need some kind of protection for them as I'd want to keep them pristine. Does anyone make stickers to protect my watch stickers?

Technically we paid thousands of dollars for stickers, and then we took them off...

Meantime, the interior, brake pedal, gas pedal, center arm rest, seats, etc, looks like an old car but heck, paint will be spotless.

Just enjoy things the way they were meant to be enjoyed.
Life is way too short to worry about material objects to that degree.

I'm fairly bad when it comes to being protective of my cherished items but learned a few hard, and valuable lessons over the years.

Life is short, make the most of it. Don't sweat the small stuff. If getting a high end luxury watch scratched, dented, or dinged is your biggest concern you've got it pretty good.

I'll never forget the first scratch on my GMT and how much I hated it. Albeit frustrating it certainly worried me less going forward. Insure, wear, and enjoy!

I love the feel of the cool metal against my skin when I put a watch on in the morning. I enjoy the feeling, as the the watch heats up from my skin and the sun. I'm not saving my watches for someone else to enjoy.

I never said it was wrong
I do understand why one wants to do it. I just think it's silly.

One can live their life as they see fit. But I'd rather not live in a plastic coated bubble

But hey their watch, their money, their life.

If you're worried about life happening to your watch, don't wear it.

That doesn't seem like a viable solution and would start to look like hell once you got it wet, sweaty, or dirty. Which is like in a week or so.

www.wristguardpro.com

Over 8 months, wear it for construction daily, got dirt on it, wine, banged it, washed it, sweated in it countless times, my watch still looks new.

I used to put stickers like that on my iPhones years ago. They drove me nuts, I would never put these on a watch.

Would hate to stain my Rolex my Watch is from 1964 and I love the character it has. I think people have gone nuts and this forum has gone from a group of WIS’s to jewelry wearers who just care about the investment and status they bring. it a watch, designed to tell the time and last a lifetime. I own my watches and don’t let them own me, life is to short to wrap a tool in plastic

God bless you if works for you but frankly, can see plastic a mile away and does not look too much different from covered sofa posted.
