Or just manufacturers making watches that are reasonably sized

I can support almost anything with my 7.25-7.5 flat wrist but I no longer wish to push the limits. It looks out of proportion and is uncomfortable FOR ME. No offense to those who like the look.

Yes there are plenty of cool watches 40mm and under but there are just so many awesome pieces I wish were 40mm instead of 44mm. AP 44 RG topping the list.

I have a 6.5 inch flat wrist and I feel the Diver barely fits me. These are being worn loose. I'm tempted to add a diver myself.

To my eye, that looks too big, the lugs extend far too much over your wrist. However, it appears that many ROO wearers prefer that look, so perhaps it's fine by those standards.

I personally think your ref.5711 fits quite nicely...

6.5 inch wrist and it feels perfect for my wrist. Then again, I am use to wearing 44mm Panerai's so its all relative in my eyes!

The watch definitely wears big...I'm ok with that on this particular piece though, haha. Too each their own I suppose

Yes. Way too big IMO. My wrist is close to 7 inch and I cannot pull it off. Too big for me and I don't mind bigger watches.

Buddy Chris.. I think you will like it a lot. We have a lot of the same pieces and I prefer the diver over the blnr any day of the week. And I think it will be a nice piece to your super collection... I was also thinking about the PP.. but I need to sell a few pieces first haha!!

I have actually traded most of my collection away to make room for my Patek. I still currently have a 15300 but feel it's a tad redundant now with the 5711. Hence my interest in the diver. I would be trading my 15300 if I were going to pick one up.

and I love your PP.. I would strongly consider selling a few pieces to trade into that grail.. but these 40mm classic sized Subs/GMTs/SDs are so hard to give up (for me at least..) given the classic feel. Still, I hear you on the redundant part.

5711 blue, 15300 silver/white, 114060, Daytona white dial. Thinking of swapping the 15300 for a diver and adding a Panerai and Pepsi.

AP ROO are supposed to be big sporty watches. Not like the more traditional RO line which is more dressy. Take this into account. If you want a watch on the big side this is it. Good luck!

I would, 5711 and Diver make a great duo.

Some photos from a local AD. What do you think? Too big?

Should add that I like wearing large watches (have a PAM112 and PAM372)

And now you have a 44mm. Old threads always come back to bite you, I'm on the verge of getting the D-Blue after years of saying it was probably too top heavy for me.

Whether a watch is too big depends on several factors. If you search on Youtube the popular watch channels will explain it to you. Among them, 2 are wrist size/shape and also the type of watch. Some watches are meant to wear small, some big. Dress watches small, dive watches like the ROO, Panerais, Breitlings also wear big. By wear big, it means they look good looking chunky and tough. I wouldn't be wrong to assume watch makers do their statistics, hence dress watches go 36mm to 41mm-ish and dive watches go 41-ish to whatever...

Still I would think a 6 inch wrist has to be really flat to wear the diver. I think the diver looks right on mine at 6.3 inch and a flat wrist which is almost all bone. I'm a lean to muscular sort of built. I've got large elbows also (haha) so that makes my forearm look less petite.

Conversly, if one's wrist is too big the diver starts looking like it has Patek dimensions then you're better off getting 44mm ROOs or 47mm PAMs and so on.

For reference I wear the rubber strap on smallest hole and the bracelet with one link. The bracelet hugs the wrist much better and shrinks the overall look making it slip under easily under my cuffs.

Frontal shot of whole arm for proportion (and also testing Imgur for 1st time after Photobucket kicked the bucket for me):

PS : someone from Imgu asked why my arm was red and hand white. I am just recovering from rashes on my arm :-) It's not the watch restricting blood to my hands haha

It depends on your wrist shape and overall physique.

Mine measures 6.25 inches and is quite flat. I wear a 44 ROO and this does not look big on my wrist. Probably helps my body size is big.

I would probably say too big as well. I have tried the diver on a few times but felt that it was too big on my 6.7 inch wrist. My wrist is also very flat but I didn't think I could pull it off. Not only is it wide but it is also tall and a very heavy watch. I ended up going with the no-date ceramic sub instead.

It will be too large. Try regular RO preferably 15300 or 15202.
