Icon5 Is AP diver too big for 6 inches wrist?

Hi,

I have small (asian) wrist 6 inches and was wondering if an AP diver would look too big?
Currently i have a 2tone SubC and i think i like the look and it feels comfortable to me. But the Diver is different story.

So i would like your opinions if anyone has pics of a diver with small wrist that would be nice.

Thanks

It will be too big for a 6 inch wrist but my guess is many here will tell you it will look good! Unless you don't mind lugs draping over your wrist that is I would look at other options.

I have 6" wrists and also have a newer Sub. That is as big as I will wear. But that is me, some people don't mind large watches on their small wrist. For me, 40mm or smaller.

Best of luck.

Thanks guys,

I would like to add, i also have an Omega Planet Ocean, which is 42mm and i think it is not too big and very comfortable.

Although the Diver is also 42mm but it has wider lugs so i am not sure...

Something I do in a watch store is ask random shoppers in the store their opinion. Because the salesman will usually say it looks fine. Strangers may be more honest.

For 6 inches wrist buddy. It will be big to be hhonest. Try RO or 5167, imo.

Definitely too big. Go for the 39mm RO and you will be very happy.

I'll agree with too big most likely. The lug to lug height will probably make it look too big on your wrist. Measure your wrist in the greatest dimension and you can get a general idea from there. My 39mm ROC has a height of 49mm. So a 42mm diver probably is about 52mm so that's at least a starting point.

Yeah I would say it will likely be too big in that the lugs will drape past the wrists. That said, a good portion of the 42 is in the bezel vs the dial. I've tried on watches with 40 that were "all dial" that looked bigger.

Again.... It's not all about the wrist measurement. Is your wrist flat? Are you over 6ft? Where do you live? And wrist pics, from a distance. Then you'll get a real answer. But just a shot in the dark, ya, it's prob to big

Will look way to big for you in my opinion and should imagine it would be very uncomfortable to wear its a big hefty piece. Here is a poor quality
pic of it on my 7.25 wrist. I found it so comfortable to wear but I think you would need 7 inch + wrist size to pull it off. Best advice is try it and see

37mm RO will be a better choice, IMHO.

If you mean 111forza wrist shot I agree but the OP has 6 inch wrist and it would look markedly different!

my wrist is 5.9" and i'm wearing a 42mm ROOs. i'm also 5 ft 10" so i'm told it looks ok on me.

i tried one of the 44mm novelties and i really really liked it, but i wouldn't dare wear it. now that was a little huge.

I mean it should looks good, cos the 44mm looks ok on my 7 inch wrist. However, it looks kind of big though.

Probably not as the 42mm Diver wears more like a 43 and 44mm watch due to the case size. If you don't mind lugs hanging over, I supposed it is OK. Some people are very cautious of how proportional their watch should look on their wrist while others don't care at all. It's down to personal preference. You will also need the extra-small strap if you end up getting one.

Big difference between 1 inch and 2mm of watch!

Very nice RG ROO by the way Sam!

For my preferences it will likely be too large. But many people don't care so do what you like.

Count me in the "too large" camp. I think 6.5" wrist would be required at minimum, and that would have to be on a fairly flat wrist imo. It does wear notably larger than its 42mm size would suggest.

I own an AP Diver and I am planning to flip it because it's too big and chunky for my 6" (Asian) wrist. I'm over 6ft 3" tall so my height does compensate a bit but nevertheless, I would advise you to look at other options.
