You have a case and bracelet as NOS and a bezel and dial-hands just the other way. How come ? There is a secret in there that needs to be solved.

Despite the above, its a unique watch, so ENJOY

Wow, I like it more now than in the original pics. It does look, to me, like there some moisture got in the case, but as long as the movment is in good shape, who cares? It is really unique. How does the lume work?

I agree x2!

The movement is like butter, and I see zero marks or rust anywhere in the case. The tritium is done shining though ☺

Could it be possible the watch was polished during a service? Secret solved

I would guess so. Also, the bracelet is a a bit newer than the watch. My guess is heavily used, then full service overhaul.

Well I'm perfectly ok either way. It certainly is off the beaten path in terms of how it looks. :) so not for everyone, and that's perfectly ok I think.

That has got to be the most striking and unusual tropical dials I have seen. However the uniform fading strikes me as artificially induced. Either way, it looks drop dead gorgeous and even better IRL.

Who is this Ralle you all keep talking about? Does he have a website?

I prefer there first ones, actually - I want to see it in glaring sunlight. May as well enjoy the imperfections to the full!

Maybe the previous owner specified a full service (including movement?) but that RSC not touch the dial, hands, and bezel. Just my guess...

It's all guess-work. I very much doubt RSC would have let that dial and insert go. If it was serviced, it was probably an independent.

The hands are in great condition compared to the dial.
I'm leaning more tropical dial rather than moisture ingress.
Character with a capital C Jesper.
I love it. Ralle is the man!

So have dials from many different decades turned "tropical"? I had thought the tropical dials were a result of certain paint mixtures used in the 60's?

There are some examples i have come across on the net, 16800 gloss dials turning into tropical. I guess it is possible for that era
