You can get a two tone sub-c, gmt2-c for 10 and change on here from a good trusted seller. you can also find a stainless daytona, but two tone wont run you much more...

OK, so pulled the trigger on the White SS Daytona at my local Massachusetts South shore AD. I did try on a Yachtmaster with a grey bezel and grey/blue face that I really liked as well as a few Submariners, but just couldn't pull myself away from the Daytona. Unfortunately I have to wait until next week as it ships to San Francisco, then back to me from my company...the good news is the company footed $12K and didn't even bat an eye after I offered to pay the difference. Must be my lucky day.
Pictures to follow! Thanks for all the support. A new question--how dumb of an idea is it to change the second hands, etc to customize with genuine Rolex equipment? Have seen some people with red second hands etc on the board and it has me thinking...I will wait for a while to do anything but curious if any of you have experience with it. Will also do a search. |

Assuming your company will let you kick in the difference, the Daytona seems like the obvious choice.

There are some issues of voiding the warranty if you change something... And IF you sent your watch to a Rolex Service Center they would restore the watch back to factory default at your $ expense. Not that you can't! Many people seem to mod their watches. Some talk about changing the watch back before sending it of to the RSC. Or find that independent watch maker / repairer to do all your mods and maintenance if you trust him...

Either is an excellent choice but on your wrist one will call over the other. |

Congrats on the Daytona! It'a a great watch. As far as modifications go, it is your watch so do with it what you want. Might not be a bad idea to let it get some wrist time and take your time making a decision

I totally agree will not touch anything on the watch until warranty is out or even later. I'm not going to mess with a good thing. Can't wait to get it and wear the hell out of it!

Submariner 2 Tone Bluesy option
Sounds like you have quite a few nice choices already ...
Albeit you are in the neighborhood for a two tone sub ceramic blue or black face as well ... You could negotiate with an AD and get it for less plus save on tax just like I did . List is just over 13K but you can Negotiate like I mentioned .... I can pm you info if you'd like... Here's mine and welcome !!!! |

You need a Sub.
I like the Daytona but IMO it looks a little dressy and small for an everyday/go anywhere sport watch. |

IMO the best value Rolexes at that price are either the Deepsea or the SD40.

If it were me I'd grab a 14060 or a 16610 and a GMT or Explorer II.
