No. It’s actually our deceased dogs name. Her name was Gillian Scamp of Fox Warren. Pedigree Jack Russell.
My husband got her when he was 24. She lived a great 17 years. When we met, I called her GillyBear. :)

I love a mans watch on a woman.
I like a mans watch for a more practical reason, the markers are bigger and therefore easier to see without my glasses.

My wife always wanted a ceramic Daytona but now I've told her how much they go for in the secondary market she says she'll just sell it if I buy her one. Does that make me a flipper ?

Just get it sized for her. If she says she wants to wear it, but hasn’t made a move to wear it, it’s because she’s too shy to be so bold.

I brought her an Explorer for my wife's birthday before I got my SD43, smart move isn't it?

Never again.

My husband says the same. I take mine off and throw it in my purse, my jewelry container, or wherever. It’s fine. But you know who has scratched their cyclops eye??? Him... not me.
He’s soooo super careful with his. Not me; I’m rather rough on mine and mine are fine.

I actually went the other way.

Bought my wife a 116519 for a special birthday and got extra oysterflex bits so that I can wear it too. That day hasn't come yet, but it will.

I sized my Daytona for my wife last year. she's always wanted it because she noticed how cute it was on me. Call her selfish if you want. Her birthday is next month and am definitely getting her a second wrist beauty.

This is the wisest strategy. My wife knows how passionate I am about watches so she wouldn't want to wear one of mine anyway.

Nope. She has her own watches. But lately she’s been eyeing my D500 as of late.

Well, I'm lucky. My partner and I are both men and we love watches. So we can share our watches a bit. Sadly his wrist size is a lot smaller, so the only watches we easily share are the hulk and SD4K.

Yep, wife now ‘owns’ my silver dial Royal Oak 15450!

She had her eye in my Daytona 116500 before I sold it, and had since been making eyes at my 116519LN.

To be honest, she never understood my passion for watches and never wore one until I bought her a Oyster Perpetual a few years ago. Since then she has adopted the AP and I’ve bought her an IWC Portofino. She also wears ‘our’ Reverso occasionally.

I enjoy her wearing nice watches as much as I enjoy wearing them myself.

My wife has a collection of her own watches. Over the years, she has taken a shine to some of mine. An Aquaracer, a Speedie and latterly my Blusey. The first two I gave to her and resized them. The Blusey will fit either of us because the Glidelock covers the difference. She hasn't taken it over yet. I wouldn't mind either way. She takes good care of her watches, although neither of us baby them.

There is no "wearing down" involved. We don't have that kind of relationship. Life is too short.

Never. She doesn’t like the larger sizes. I tried to buy her a DJ 36, but she wouldn’t have it. No way she’s wearing my watches..... not careful enough. It’s just a piece of metal to her!

My wife has shown no interest in watches, but on her 60th Birthday at dinner with our children she said she had expected me to give her a Rolex. Then she wore my SubC for a few hours, it was on a rubber strap at the time.
If she showed an interest I would size one of my watches and let her wear it for awhile. If she showed a real interest, I would get her a Rolex of her own.

My long term girlfriend is only into traditional ladies models. In fact she favors the 26mm Datejust over the new 28mm. I’ve tried to get her to try on various of my watches but she would never wear them out.

I’m just super fortunate to be with someone who shares my passion. She is usually the one pulling me into the AD just to look and talk watches, and she has bought me a few great pieces.

I've tried several times.

But she wanted the apple watch with the Lilly Pulitzer bands

Whatever floats her boat

She has her own Rolex, it to her it’s just a watch. She’d never ask to wear mine. On a side note, if I asked her to take a photo of both of our watches while we hold hands, which would never happen, she’d laugh her way out of the room.

Happy couples have their own hobbies. I dont ask to use her purses either.

Mrs. ShneaSIG has her own watches and preferences. She likes small watches, so my watches are safely mine. We've got a couple his and hers sets, too.

If she wears a watch (which is rare), it’s her 26mm Datejust. None of mine. ;-)
