TSA has not been a problem. Security at the theater won't let you pass.

Now. I've had issues at securities overseas. I have opted to shed the watch, and along with phones and keys, it goes into the hand carry. It's the belt that pisses me off.

Speaking of TSA, I’m at an airport right now. And the TSA line is much much longer than the standard line. WTH! Can’t believe it. I guess the secret is out.

The whole point is expediency. What’s the point of having it now?

The shoes are what bug me the most… I wear orthotics and can barely stand in bare feet

That said, I guess it’s important to remember why we have all this heightened security in place. Better safe than sorry.

I hear what you are saying, but I fly out of one the busiest airports in the country and I don't believe the TSA squad there could catch a cold in a dirty kleenex much less something really nefarious. I think 99% of the time all of that is nothing more than a show.....an annoying show that I often wish I could change the channel on.

Yes, another vote for TSA Pre-Check. It's worth the $80 or so bucks.

But…wait for it…for the return flight today…ding ding ding…it went off…yes…it…went…off…just an hour ago.

TSA agent steps back and says, go back through.
Do you have any metal in your body?
Do you have metal in your pockets?
Nope, nope…

What about your watch?
Oh, OK yeah

Take it off and hand it to me. I do so through the magic portal and ding ding ding it goes. I hand it to him - walk thru - he handed it back.

I think I jinxed myself earlier this week when I said…

I agree. TSA feels like a placebo that makes you think you’re safer. I still fly a lot and the inconsistencies in security attentiveness at various US airports leaves me with the perception that it’s all an effort to make it look like the government is doing something.

FWIW, I have pre-check and it didn’t help me keep my watch on at MDW or ATL.
