I agree a letdown for 2024. Of course we’d all take the black grey gmt. All the guys saying the 1908 is best but will you actually buy it, I’m guessing nah. I like the smoked dials of the dd40 in black, blue, and green. But not lust over like. Gutted over Le Mans wg but I never had a real chance.

The full gold deepsea would be interesting. I don’t think i can pull of the size but i really like the looks.

I like the steel GRNR, which makes sense because I like the 116710ln, but I wouldn’t pay more for the new GRNR over the old LN

I think the ombre dials in the DD36 and DD40 will be the hit of this year's releases.

For the GMT GRNR...I think I'd have to try it on and see it in person. It might hit, or might fall flat given the monotone aspects.

The rest of the releases were ho hum.
In an ADs the grey will really light up, won't look monotone, quite the opposite might be too grey, Rolex ceramic bezels get washed out like that in certain bright lights, then when indoors and darker it will look all black.

Me too, literally the only thing that I’ve seen that has me interested. Smaller Tudor GMT is nice too, but I’ve already got a Tudor GMT. Love the rose gold DD with the grey dial but I have a yellow DD 36” that is already way too bling for my style. Rolex is shooting for a much more luxury position in the segment, at the worst possible time. I’m guessing the average MSRP of the pieces they produced in 2023 was 30-40% higher than it was 5 years earlier. Throw in even more costly new releases and a move to much higher production numbers, in a stagnant market, and things could get tricky for them. Tudor continues to impress with new models and excellent branding, in the price segment that should remain pretty solid.

I think the 2024-2025 Catalog will be the greatest Rolex release this year.

I already have a BLNR and BLRO otherwise the new GMT would be ok to have.

Can't recall if it was new, but the Day Date 40 in WG with the mother of pearl was pretty nice - would definitely consider that one.

Can y’all imagine the new guilloche blue 1908 dial as an OP41 or OP36? That’d be one heck of a release people would go bonkers for.

If I didn’t already have a modern GMT I’d go for the new grey/black bezel one. Has much of the look and feel of a Submariner but better complication (IMO), shorter clasp, and two bracelet options.

For her. She can be a bit controlling, but not when it comes to the watches I wear lol.

I had been on the hunt for a 118138 in yg with green dial, but she prefers this one.
