Agree with this the only one king of suvs is big Range Rover. I’m thinking of ordering one with trade in my Cayenne GTS. But Austin if your wife doesn’t need 3 rd row maybe get her Cayenne similar to my. |

Toyota Highlander, Kia Telluride, Bmw x7, new Tahoe. Ive owned them and are great my mom just got a Grand Wagoneer but it was a little over the budget you have. Its a great suv. The regular Wagoneers are around 65k.

Nicely optioned in the mid 60s also. Seems like a contender in the 3rd row suv space. Sent from my SM-G781U1 using Tapatalk |

If you're used to the Toyota reliability I would suggest sticking with Toyota or Lexus. As mentioned above, the new Toyota Sequoia has made huge improvements including fuel consumption and will be a good buy.
I love Land Cruisers and LX570s but they are better for people who tow things or go off-roading. Otherwise you're spending more than you need for that ruggedness and the fuel consumption is pretty bad. |

One thing to note about the new sequoia is that it has a part time 4WD system. This seems like a major oversight for mass appeal but Toyota does odd things. Basically north east soccer moms would have to switch it into 4Hi when the time is right (snow) and deal with potential binding making sharp turns in the Starbucks parking lot. But if you’re somewhere that snow isn’t a thing or you’ll actually be off-roading then it’s a plus in my book.

With that budget you can find a modestly equipped BMW X7 40i or MB GLS 450. The BMW is relatively more reliable with its B58 inline 6 cylinder.
However, with 20k miles each year, I would pick a Tahoe. They have close to bullet proof reliability as they're used in livery and that 5.3 V8 engine is a workhorse. Lastly, you can get the new Toyota Sequoia that comes with a new turbo hybrid V6. |

It’s a shame Toyota doesn’t see the value in offering a more utility focused Land Cruiser in the US….or even any Land Cruiser today. They’ve always been one of my favorites, they’re like a reliable version of a Land Rover lol

My wife drives a 21 X7 40i….we’ve put 25k miles on it in a year and no issues at all. I’m pretty partial towards BMW. I think the X7 looks better than the GLS.

I’m usually with all the Toyota/Lexus crowd.
We just bought a Tahoe for the wife however and honestly I feel they’ve done a really good job with it. It’s 3 rows and we have second row captains seating instead of the annoying bench seat. We built it ourselves with fairly nice options and all it came out to right at $70k. Personally I like the styling quite a bit as well.

Don't think anyone's mentioned it, but we've had great luck with our Honda Pilot. Owned it for 3-4 years now, and no issues. Tons of space for people and stuff.
