I would consider it to be frac outside of my personal tolerance. Fast would be a nicer scenario.

Precision needs to be taken into consideration, and assuming it's showing a high level of precision with no changes in timekeeping evident then I might be tempted to reluctantly let it pass until it needs a service. Especially if it's being worn infrequently as part of a rotation in the collection.

Rest it on its caseback at night. You'll see it subtly speed up.

If you want super accuracy , buy a quartz watch for a couple of quid . Rolex are for eye candy only.

I wouldn’t let anyone open up a watch for 4 seconds. Like others have said try resting it dial up overnight.

Maybe at 4 years you send it in.

If is just -3.7 s/d I would let it sit at night Dial up or Dial down, it will gain some time. You could get a timegrapher to be able to see the difference between positions. If it gets worse then send it to the RSC.

It wouldn't bother me, wouldn't touch it until service is due, personally. If it really spoils it for you then have it regulated.

This was my experience as well. It took a few months for my 114060 to settle in. It ran slow initially, now it’s damn near +1/day if that. FWIW, I leave it dial up over night.

My 4 year old DSSD is still running at +1 second per day ( tested over a 4 day period ). When it was new it was almost dead on perfect.

Like others said if it bothers you send it in.

Of course it is nice if a watch runs (almost) perfectly but a lot of you guys are really overthinking the subject of accuracy.

Is the speedo of your car in sync with GPS speed?
I don't think so and did you go back with your car to the dealer to complain about it?

I actually had the same problem with my 116610LV.
I got it in 2016 and was running perfect untill I found out that was running +5.

I took it to Rolex and they took it under warranty. Now it's +1sec.

My new SD43 is running slow at -4.5spd ... still experimenting with face up and down but it seems it gets worse ... read that movement 3235 does not get much affected with testing night positioning but not sure. Heard also early version of 3235 had lubrications problems that watch will loose much more time ... I am against sending my new watch ... may be a scratch or other issues once serviced ... I will live with it and hope it will speed up with time ...

I've been leaving it face up and seems to be running around 2.7 slow the past two days! I'll keep the thread updated with how it goes with experimenting.

No. Just set it a minute fast when you set the date and it’ll be fine until you need to set the date again.
