My first Rolex was the same sub about 20 yrs ago. When my son graduates from college I am going to hand it down to him. I have already decided I will replace it with the newest sub. I love the newer bracelets and agree the ceramic is cool.
So your son gets the old Rolex and you get a new one. I like how you think!! I can see the conversation now..."Ah Dad that's awesome you handing down your vintage Sub to me, I can't thank you enough, I love you Dad". Dad replies, "your welcome son I always wanted you to have my Sub". Two weeks later, "Dad your vintage sub is awesome, to bad you....Dad what's that new shiny thing on your wrist ?"

It is true that it is PP (Pure Perfection), and I said the same thing in many posts right here on TRF...

Lets see how long it lasts...

Great choice. Welcome back. It's refreshing to see a post about how someone has fallen back in love with the 116610LN, rather than out of it.

BTW, what kind of camera are you using? Those are great shots.

yes you are correct i looked at Rolex for a long time, and the SUb looked so simple , i could not justify myself paying all this money for such a simple watch.
i was like, that's a of money for a plain watch..but 3 months ago i pulled the trigger on the SD43, which really is a big sub with some red writing, and i tell you, it s simple and sexy, and i love it.
i really like the SUB now it s a very classy watch.
enjoy it in good Health.

Congratulations in acquiring an absolute beauty!
On a completely unrelated side note, I love your avatar.
That’s one of my all-time favourite movie scenes!

I considered the SD43 but I ended up going for the sub due to the size, I'm not a big guy and the SD is just too big for me. Enjoy yours!
