Looks good Cru! I'm still thinking of putting a black stingray on mine, think green is too much.

all! It's been a lot of fun trying out the NATOs the last couple of days. Before seeing the butcher's green/blue combo, I swore that the LVc only belonged on the bracelet.

Interesting to see how the green/blue drew all the comments, and not the solid blue, which I find to be more consensual....

After seeing the pics here I would like to pick one up.
I used to have a cheaper knock-off of the 6825 and found the shape and mechanism harder to use. YMMV.

IIRC, the 6825 is available with two forks, with only the extra fine one being correct. But, I might be confusing that with another tool.

I thought the Rolex tool 3200 worked on all bracelets? If so, the 7825 should, too.

For me, black doesn't match up as well with green. I find blue or grey complents the watch head better.

But, I'd like to think otherwise, and would love to see the stingray combo.

The OEM spring bars. Why? Any reason not to?

I tried refs 6825 and 6825-pf on the deepsea, both didn't work. PF ref is the finer tip version (not sure if there're "extra fine" tips, maybe there are and I missed it!!) I read that the 6825-PF worked on an oyster bracelet (probably a sub) so I shot for that. When that didn't work I tried the regular one which didn't work as well. Made a wasted trip to Oakland that day!

I was thinking of the PF... I wonder what's different about the DSSD.

Here are a few pics:

I also bought a solid navy colored NATO, which I'll try another day.

Nice look makes the dial pop.

Depends on who you speak to. Some contest that spring bars with ridges for strap-changing tools, like the OEM ones, can be dislodged by NATOs in certain instances, and as such ridgeless spring bars should be used. Others don't share that concern.

I'd like to try out my Explorer on a NATO, and have both types of spring bar to hand, but haven't got around to it yet. So I was curious which ones you used.

If you put ridge-less spring bars in a "no holes" case you are going to have to cut them off I believe.

For anyone looking for the tweezers still, Ottofrei has a pair (just hit Control + F and type in 7825, or 6825): http://www.ofrei.com/page237.html
