Your money, most will just assume you’re wearing the same watch.

Too redundant for me. I'd get one in yellow gold and other other in white or rose.

More info, please, in order to make an informed response. What else is in the collection?

Maybe in a collection of 175 watches yes, but I see a lot of collections with a half dozen Submariners so you wouldn't be the first.

My thought as well. But if you can do it, do it!

Yeah this guy is one of those guys. He’s been racking up redundant rolexes in his collection since April. Throwing money in all the wrong directions like why would you spend $80k or whatever on two day dates that are almost the same??! Lol

Sigh.
You’re just going to get bored with them and flip them next week for 2 new watches. So sure, they’ll do. |

If you are asking about having both in the same collection, I don't think that makes much sense; you could buy one & then do a dial swap at some point in the future if you want a change. Also, most people either like Romans or don't and either like the diagonal dials or don't, so it's hard for me to imagine you don't like one of those set-ups more than the other.
If you are asking which one to have in a collection, personally, I prefer sticks over Romans & the diagonal dial vs. the plain dial. You're call on your preferences.

Good question! I think gentlemanly. Independent thinker who has an aesthetic eye. Knows when to do his own research and also seek guidance from trustworthy persons who are very close to you who understand you and your values. Tactical with money, and not someone who will aimlessly dump money on items that are material to meet hype. Nothing irks me more than needy individuals who don't fully grasp what their purpose and drive is. Being an independent thinker comes from having a lot of experience in various facets of life. Whether it's reading books, taking on new adventures, trying new hobbies and seeking them through from beginning to end before considering it a true hobby; etc... things that take time and thought and the guts to challenge yourself.
You cannot buy* this. |

Yes I do like yellow gold more than white gold but that part is irrelevant, as I said I would probably have four yellow gold day dates with different dials if money was no object but then I would probably have a few in white gold aswell.
