I like both. I do agree that the MKII appears similar green to the original LV.

It looks the same because the one pictured in your post is the MK1. The bezel hue/colour/tone has changed. It’s a fact at this point. Have a great weekend as well

Nope. It’s the 2023 straight from the dealer.
Wouldn’t all 23 models be this MK2 you speak of? Unless I am incorrect that they cannot sell anything from last year once new models are released. Man, you guys are really vested on it being different… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

We're not vested in it being different. More than one member confirmed that their Rolex boutique/AD confirmed that the bezel has changed. And there are pictures confirming that there has been a change. So I ask you, why are you so vested in it not changing? The burden of proof is on you. |

It can happen. ADs are still handing out the old one. But new ones are now coming in

Funny how they said this time they tried to match original Kermit color so it is more true. Ok, sure. Which one!? You guys made a lot of green on original Kermit.

So if the MKII is indeed more a true, deep green, I'd give it a look. |

The only reason is I have seen this bezel change many different colors due to lighting. It can at times have that same lime tint. As far as the year, I was honestly asking. I don’t exactly know how it works and appreciate you clarifying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

For the record I’d be happy with any of them but I think they perfected it with the MK1.
But I also prefer the hulk over the OG Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Watches and Wonders 2023. They didn’t announced it number of ppl got this statement from Rolex HQ. Now we have finally witnessed the difference in bezel color as so called MK2. Now the color change is no longer a rumor spread around.

The older one looks so much more elegant. Shame that most of us have missed the boat on it.

Same with the 50th anniversary Sub with aluminum bezel. Fair amount of color variation.

Man, you guys are really vested on it being different… Nope. There are examples of previous models being supplied on this very forum....a number of very happy members getting discontinued meteorite Daytonas. Who told you that an AD can't sell anything from 'last year'? That would be an impossible way to run stock control. They would have to either throw 'old' stock in the bin or make sure every piece everywhere in the world was sold before the new releases were revealed. Makes no sense either way. |

My preference is MK2 as well, it’s closer to one of the original LV’s (prob closer to B4 in the chart shown above).

Just wait till the sellers zoom into this MK1 MK11 internet stuff with words like super rare MK1 at premium prices. I remember well the so called mistake or stick dial GMTs that supposed to have the 3186 movement inside. Many paid silly money for them but many still have the 3185 in the case and all it was just a simple font change like the hundreds of others over the past decades. Same for all the MK stuff with the dials, seeing dials are still made in 3 different factories now all owned by Rolex, there always have been and always have been tiny variations to most all Rolex dials over the past 50 odd years. But where there is hype over these miniscule details, hype sells Rolex watches today to many willing to pay most times crazy prices for in the real world hyped miniscule cosmetic details.

Good confirmation pics. Both look good but I far prefer the richer shade of green on the MK1 and am very happy to have one.

I guess the real question now, will this be a 1 year thing for the MK2 bezels then back to MK1?
I doubt it, if anything they might just discontinue the LV all together next year. But my guess is they continue forward with this bezel for a few more years. |

I have the MK1 and from the side-by-side picture, I prefer the MK1 to the newly released MK2. I'll reserve final judgement until I have mine next to a MK2 exhibition model at the AD.

Wow! I’ve noticed the 16610LV had different color greens and assumed it was the aluminum bezel aging. Very fascinating picture.
As for the 126610LV, I prefer the Mk1 “pine” color. I came very close to purchasing one but decided on a blue Omega Seamaster 300m instead. The Mk2 looks closer to the green I associate with Rolex, but I don’t like it as much on the watch. I would not be surprised if Mk1 command a premium in the coming years if Mk2 ends up having a longer production run. |

You must learn the forum mantra(s). If you have A and Rolex releases B...
- A is historically more accurate - A has better proportion, but don't as me what I mean - I honesty can't tell the difference but if offered at retail I suppose I'd buy it - A will be more rare and worth more in 30 years - They ruined it...I'm devestated |
