Go vintage ... 5513 with a maxi dial with creamy patina and for $10-$12k you could get a killer example

Unfortunately I have to wait until next week as it ships to San Francisco, then back to me from my company...the good news is the company footed $12K and didn't even bat an eye after I offered to pay the difference. Must be my lucky day.

Pictures to follow! Thanks for all the support. A new question--how dumb of an idea is it to change the second hands, etc to customize with genuine Rolex equipment? Have seen some people with red second hands etc on the board and it has me thinking...I will wait for a while to do anything but curious if any of you have experience with it. Will also do a search.
Missed this when I last posted. Huge congrats and an excellent decision.
And your company footed the whole deal. Nice

I agree w Dr Tom not to tamper with perfection and enjoy the beautiful watch in its purity. Can't wait to see the Incoming pics

Vintage will likely be my next move...maybe a GMT "Coke" as my father worked for Coke for almost his entire career and my college team is UGA--Red and Black...

Depending on if you are simply being given the money or if the company is buying the watch then giving it to you

You will have to see if your company is willing to deal with trusted sellers or if they prefer to go down the "official" route

Please keep the Daytona the way it is. Modding is a bad idea for a first time owner.

Is your Company making the purchase or are they giving you the money? Must it be a Rolex?

Congrats! Nice choice I was deciding between the Daytona and the blue YM. You can see what I decided. But that's ok now I am saving for the Daytona!

How many companies still gift watches like this?

My father used to work for an American company in the 80s and he received one as well. Maybe I should go work for one of them.
