If you're up AK way, he listed it on CL, too!

The Tesoro Petrol AKs aren't common but I've seen several examples. They're worth market prices, $1500-$1850. Same with the legendary "PanAm" dial which isn't really PanAm. The logo is for Pool Intairdrill, a US based oil company which did business in the Persian Gulf. I've seen rediculous prices on this piece but it isn't worth a premium either. I can list about 10 different companies which had custom AK award watches. The only one I'd pay a premium for, and only because I like it is the Saudi dial. Has the same logo as the GMTs. Both examples I've seen we're 5500s with blue dials and white text. Pretty stunning.

Those who collect Rolex watches with logos, flags, characters, symbols etc.
would pay $1500-$2000 for this particular condition....what surprises me is that
he is asking 10k less at e-Bay than CL...?
My opinion...both he and his appraiser should dedicate more time to fishing.

Yes, but how does your estimate of its price increase if I told you that Tesoro has increased their refinery capacity from 72,000 barrels per day to approximately 664,000 barrels per day (as the seller has so helpfully provided in his eBay description)? :-)

it makes no difference these company logo dials are much less desirable than the middles eastern military crests, they are worth what tempoking states. The arabic military dials are worth a bit more to wealthy arabs $3-4 thousand is the estimate in my important watch auction catalogue from last year in held in geneva.
