+1. Besides, I am a one watch guy and even I have two watches - One daily wearer to wear everywhere doing everything and then one nice watch to wear to dinners, on weekends, special occassions, etc. The 6263 is in the second category and I would NOT have it as a daily wear watch, so you will always needs that second, every day piece.

I say go for it.

Just don't rush the sale of your other watches because you want to get as much as possible for them. Easier to quick sell them to a dealer but you will take a huge hit. Goodluck my friend. Look forward to the wristshots.

Yes, but I would keep the snowflake as a daily beater.

I would definitely do it. What a watch! And I don't see that watch getting any cheaper!

I would keep the Snowflake and the SS DJ. Then save while you are selling the other five (which will take some time). You will wind up with a great collection of three, with litle or no duplication of purpose.

I think you should do it if the one you are going for is in really good shape. You can replace those you have now if you need to later.

I would do it. You could always replace the others. A 6263 doesn't come by very often.

I would keep the Tudor with faded insert, the rest you can buy again easily enough if you miss them.

Yeah .... Well- I'd keep one of them as your everyday so the 6263 was special.. The one you keep is the bigger question I think

I had a 6263 for a few years. In the beginning I would wear it like any other watch I wore. But then I dinged the bezel. I was very lucky to be able to replace it with a new old stock bezel but at steep cost. Then some dials came loose. Dinged it again and a crystal had to be replaced, etc. etc....

The the prices went through the roof and I grew more and more uncomfortable to wear it and was afraid to damage it again. It was not a tool watch anymore because it was soooo expensive now. People would also start to notice the watch and freak out. For me that was way too much attention.

I sold it and wore my quite similar looking Tudor Prince Date Chrono instead (which by the way never broke and runs within COS specs.)

The only watch I REALY regret ever selling was my Sub 5508. That was plain stupid.

But everybody has their own grail....

I would do it! But I´m a HUGE fan of the 6263. Especially black on black.

I'd have a tough time with the Daytona, but the end result is a beauty!

So you would wear the 6263 everyday?
Parts are expensive and harder and harder to find...unless money is no object, doesn't seem like a good idea to be the only watch.

Consolidate. While you still can.
It'll seem a great deal in a couple of years time.

If I were you, I would let some of the pieces go. Keep one or two you enjoyed most from this collection, save more, shoot for a 6263. Now hunting a 6263 will be a bit of a challenge in today's market.
