If it is the LV model there is no laser logo, but if it is the regular it should be there.
Here you have some info about it. I hope it helps. Jocke

Hallo
thanks for the info. looks great. Its a normal 116400 and not the GV version. I have tried a magnifying glass under a halogen lamp, but still not able to see it or photograph it. Cheers MILFAN |

Hallo
Anybody, who has a black dial milgauss. Have they been able to see the laser etched crown and managed to photograph it. Cheers |

I have a white dial Milgauss too and I can't ever see it either. Same on my platinum dial YM. I think you need a super magnifying jewelers loupe to see it on light or white dial models.

Apparently it works better shining a laser pointer on it , also you have to look at it from an angle . I had the same trouble seeing the LEC on my SDDS . Keep trying , it should be there .

Try shining a light down the face from the 12 o'clock position as you slightly tilt the watch left or right, this worked for me in the past. Good luck.

I have the white face, and I was trying like Hell to get a look at it.....It's there, I assure you, but TINY. I had to use my 10x loupe and play with flashlight angles for a solid 20 minutes.

I used a loupe in a Rolex store with great lighting...and it still took me 5 mins to find the laser etch!!!!!!!.....i had to look at it from an angle and unless you have a good loupe then you have no real hope of finding it.(i understand fake watches have much larger etchings..and therefore are much easier to find)

You have to REALLY good eyesight to see the thing with the naked eye. It gets more and more difficult for me to see it every year.

The only way I was ever able to see mine was when the sun was shining onto the crystal. Without that, I could never see it.

Hi All,
First post on TRF, but I hang at WUS frequently.....not to steal the thread....onto the topic: The etched logo is one of those things that once you find it once future times get much easier. I used a loupe and a flashlight (angled down from 12oclock) the first time and now I can pick them up pretty quick. Also related to the etching....I believe that a rolex that gets serviced and has a crystal replaced will have a logo with a sideways "S" inside....also kind of cool. |

Hallo All
Thanks for the tips. I bought a 20X loupe and was able to see the faint outline of the LEC. Thank Welshwatchman, I am going to look for the USB microscoop to make some detailed pics Thanks all |

I use my macro lens wide-open for the shallowest depth of field. Here's a shot with available light on a Nikkor 60mm at f2.8.
