Got my Sub!!!

Well, after much debate and decision-making, rationalization and evaluation, I finally decided to get the new SS Submariner 16610.
I thought about it for a VERY long time, several months actually, and I finally decided on the watch I had originally set my sights on.
I had been giving serious consideration to the new GMT II C, and I almost purchased it; I still think it is an excellent, gorgeous timepiece, but as we say here on TRF, the Sub "spoke" to me! Plus, I knew that more than likely, the Sub as we currently know it will be "changed" for 2010, and the price will be higher. I can always get the GMT later, and I cam always get a newer model (2010) Sub later as well.
I am ECSTATIC with my purchase!!! It is an "early" Christmas gift, so I probably won't wear it until the 25th, but I look at it ever day!

Anyway, here are some pics, please pardon my poor pic-taking abilities!

Let me know what you think!!!

Thanks for looking an MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!

Abdon

Congratulations!

Nice strategy in watch purchasing, but I'm willing to guess you will have trouble parting with the 16610

Indeed....which is why I don't plan on parting with the 16610!

I believe I have rekindled my Rolex addiction....I have had Rolex wristwatches for a long time, but for one reason or another, I have either had to part with them (financial reasons) or had them stolen (my first sub, given to me by my father in 1983). I have had Panerai's, Sinn's, Omegas and Breitling (still own my Superocean Chrono Auto)....all very fine watches, but nothing like a Rolex imho. I am very very happy with my Sub. Perhaps, next year, I will acquire the next one (maybe the GMT II C afte all?) but for now and for a very long time to come, I am going to thoroughly enjoy wearing my new watch!!!

I've worn my Sub for seven years and I still get jealous hearing about your new toy! With a new SSDaytona waiting for my return from Afghanistan and plans for a WG Daytona/Met, I think my Sub will always be the one closest to my heart. I love this watch. Enjoy!
