I have looked at a few reference pages, and blogs, but still am confused distinguishing between the regular dial and the PN dial...could someone give a hand in comparison...some photos together if possible may help me...

Uggghhhh
Thanks for the link...still confused though...just want to expand my knowledge base...this pic is of a Daytona with said PN dial and I still can not tell the differences...Thanks

this is where you need to be flexible..
The watch shown is neither a Paul Newman Daytona, nor is it a Paul Newman dial, as it would be known to a collector.. It is sometimes called a Paul Newman dial in newer circles because it is two different colors..main dial and sub dials..
