new arrival on a snowy day in Ohio

In spite of the weather conditions in Northern Ohio, the delivery was on time.
Seems appropriate that this watch has a white dial.

Nice! I prefer the Zenith because I like the blak around the sub dials.

I prefer Zenith movement, as it is no longer available in more recent Daytonas.

Me too! The new dial on the SS model is just too dressy for a sport watch, IMO.

I prefer the look and feel of the very early 16520, on 78360 bracelets, but I consider caliber 4130 to be better. Impossible combination. I know.

If memory serves me right, the Zenith has the super hi-beat El Primero movement which beats at 36,000 A/hr. as compared with the 4130 Rolex calibre which goes at 28,800 A/hr.

Both are excellent movements really. Zenith movements were being used in Daytonas for years very successfully before Rolex decided to come up with the brilliant 4130, 44-jewel movement now employed in all modern day Daytonas.

Very nice congrats. Love those non-polished lugs compared to the later Daytona's polished look.

I like the Zenith because it's unique to the Rolex lineup. The last Rolex watch to use someone else's movement. I don't know if it will be more valuable down the line.

Rolex actually reworked the movement to perform at 28,800 from the original 36,000.
